BCCU Debit Cards Related to Hannaford Security Breach To Be Reissued | | Monday, March 31, 2008 As a result of the recent security breach with Hannaford's Supermarkets, BCCU will reissue debit cards that have been compromised. Any member receiving a new card will be notified within the next two weeks. If you are concerned about whether your card is being reissued, please call our Contact Center at 1-866-996-9828, or speak to one of our Financial Services Consultant at any of our branches.
It is always a good idea to monitor your account statement each month, or online anytime! If you notice suspicious or fraudulent activity, notify us immediately. Your liability in most cases will be zero, but never more than $50.
We continue to work diligently to protect your personal information. However, we are dependent on the merchants who have contracts with MasterCard to ensure their systems are secure. We strongly suggest that you take a few moments to write to your Senator and Congressional Representative to demand that we pass legislation holding these merchants responsible for protecting your information and your accounts.
